Description
Stuoia Bowl. Arte di Gio Ponti Collection.
"Stuoia 1923" reinterprets one of the decorations created by master Gio Ponti for the Manifattura. First presented at the Monza Biennial in 1923, the "Stuoia" decoration is one of the earliest decorations conceived by the young Architect. A composition of interlaced vertical yellow bands and horizontal turquoise bands, divided lengthwise by black and orange lines on a black background envelops the porcelain. Entirely decorated by hand and technically very complex to make, the Stuoia 1923 collection is also narrated through sophisticated vases. Arte di Gio Ponti is a collection of authentic objets d'art with which the story of tradition and craftsmanship of the Florentine Maison is told through the most sophisticated creations of the renowned architect, Artistic Director of the Manifattura from 1923 to 1933 and who helped make Ginori 1735 known worldwide.
