The names of each woman are read on the neck of the vase, and in the background are glimpses of complex antiquarian-inspired architecture from which buildings from different eras and cultures, from the Pyramids to the Colosseum, can be recognized. Made with the technique of brush painting on a majolica base, master Gio Ponti's work is proposed as a journey through millennia of history, embracing Greek, Roman and ancient Egyptian traditions, finally reaching the more modern Renaissance.
