Description
"Stuoia 1923" Orcino vase in porcelain. Arte di Gio Ponti collection.
"Stuoia 1923" reinterprets one of the decorative motifs created for the Studio by master Gio Ponti. First presented at the Monza Biennial in 1923, the woven pattern is one of the earliest designs created by the young Ponti. A composition of interlaced vertical yellow and horizontal turquoise bands, traversed lengthwise by black and orange strokes and placed against a black background wraps around the porcelain. Entirely decorated by hand using a highly complex technique, the Stuoia 1923 collection is also beautifully rendered on a sophisticated bowl.
Arte di Gio Ponti embodies the excellence of the Florentine Maison in art pieces that relate the history of Ginori 1735 through the creative talent of the renowned architect.
