The Anfora is an elegant designer scented candle, made entirely by artistic casting, 9,4 in high. The body of the candle is decorated with floral motifs and the lid is embellished with a knob finished in pure gold: both are made of pure porcelain, crafted and decorated entirely by hand.
A maharaja’s retreat in the hills of Rajasthan. Rose and patchouli, sensual spices and a sultry animalic scent.
An inveterate collector, the Maharajah no longer remembers where he bought this covered pot. Perhaps in Italy? It was certainly decorated by an artisan from that place, and a closer look suggests an Italian-Indian hand.
Once the wax is finished, the porcelain body can be used as an interior decoration, object box and container.
The Amphora is one of five precious Luchino's Souvenirs. A uniquely designed piece of art, it is a memory of the English designer Luke Edward Hall's imaginary trip to Rajathra Palace: the fantastic palace located in Rajasthan, one of the artist's favourite destinations.
The other four Luchino's Souvenirs, a candle holder, an incense burner, a box with a lid and a candle holder sculpture inspired by a head of Ganymede, recall the corresponding four places with romantic atmospheres that each fragrance evokes: Fox Thicket Folly recounts the Cotswolds, La Gazelle d'Or Marrakech, Rain Rock Creek the Big Sur, Palazzo Centauro Venice.
