Description
Alto Codice Della Cartomanzia paperweight in porcelain. Arte di Gio Ponti Collection.
Ginori 1735 reissues "La Biblioteca di Doccia," a historic porcelain line that includes a series of reproductions of books opened, closed or stacked on top of each other.
The decoration reveals the noted architect's attention to esotericism: on the left page two cards held in an articulated mano of a mannequin; on the right page the inscription "Alto codice della cartomanzia" with the signature of Gio Ponti, in this case also author and publisher. The suits of the cards allude to the balance between opposites, contrasting the three of hearts, traditionally positive, with the two of spades, associated with the negative aspects of life.
Reproduced in a limited and numbered edition of 50, it comes with a luxury box that also makes it perfect for a precious gift on important occasions.
Arte di Gio Ponti is an eclectic collection of decorative porcelain that brings together the Maestro's most emblematic works in fine contemporary re-editions. pays homage Ginori 1735 savoir faire through the history FlorentineMaison in the years when the renowned architect held the role of Artistic Director of the Manifattura.
