The flat plate is made of fine porcelain and depicts a brilliant Coucou Didrie, whose green plumage is enhanced by the overglaze technique that protects the shine of the pigments. The colorful birds and floral decorations in gold are hand-painted and are inspired by nineteenth-century sketches of botany, expressing all the savoir faire and craftsmanship of Ginori 1735.
